When using prediction models for RF planning, engineers require CW data to tune the model in advance to ensure its applicability for simulating a given region. Depending on the model used, more drive tests may be desirable. Unfortunately, drive tests can be time consuming and costly to generate. The Newfield Wireless Path Loss Database provides a cost-effective alternative to tuning models.
Our engineers have collected CW data based on our rigorous process across the United States and Puerto Rico. The data collected can be used for model creation from 700 MHz to 2.5 GHz, making them suitable for planning 2G (GSM/CDMA), 3G (HSPA/EVDO) and 4G (LTE/WiMAX) networks across the country.
Our goal is to expand the Path Loss Database outside of North America. Stay tuned for updates.
